saturday crop

On Saturday, March 3rd, I attended a wonderful crop that was also a fundraiser to help build a school in Africa. We raised almost $700!

Nothing beats scrapbooking with friends like Kathleen, Sarah, Diane and Nathalie. We laughed, we created and we ate.
It helps when your friends are as crazy as you are.
We had a lot of room at this crop, which included a separate area so we could eat some great homemade food. We were also lucky to have Tina's Scrapbooking Creations on hand so we could buy some yummy scrapbooking supplies.
Although it seems like fun and games -- and to be honest it was mostly that -- we did manage to do a lot of scrapbooking. Kathleen was on fire and completed a ton of layouts of her wedding. She used a black, white and bright pink palette with stunning results.
Sarah is on the design team for Auntie Em's Scrapbooking and she worked on some amazing layouts. Here she is concentrating very, very hard.
Nathalie is on the design team for Tina's Scrapbooking and she worked on two layouts, which were outside her comfort zone but turned out to be quite amazing.

Diane worked on a folder album a la Heidi Swapp. Lots of details, lots of interactive mini-albums inside the folder and lots of scrapbooking goodness -- that's Diane for you!
This was my spot. I didn't work on the layout with the turquoise ribbon, but I did manage to complete five layouts in one day. I can't wait to show them to you this week.
It was a great day and I'm looking forward to the next crop.

See you soon!
